Nicole Kidman sports the AED25 million necklace at the 80th Academy Awards red carpet ceremony on February 24, 2008. The necklace is currently on display at the Deira City Centre outlet of a jewellery retailer, Malabar Gold.
As part of a diamond exhibition called ‘Diamond Expressions’ the retailer is exhibiting this necklace designed by the international designer L’Wren Scott.
Kidman’s low-back dress does wonders to the design of the diamond necklace. This piece of jewellery is a rare combination of rough and polished diamonds. The piece holds 7,645 diamonds together in an exquisite design pattern.
Designed in the most unique fashion, the necklace required over 6,200 man hours to craft it to perfection.
The diamond exhibition will be running till February 16th.
