Ok I have this habit of calling just about anyone I come across with a short versioned of even their own nicks.

In school, we used to call one of our science teachers, sir choocha, wo ithnay mashoor ho gai thay, kay the entire school called him, even staff, to this day I don’t remember his real name :confused:

Then there was Feeqa, that used to put his hand on his protruded tond, and stand at an awkward angle writing on the board.

Something that ispired me to write up this thread that before I never saw anyone calling our now Director sahib TLK = teelo.

Ever since I’ve called him that, I see so many in cafe addressing him that. I thought that nick was only copy-righted by me :snooty:

Khair my sincerest apollogies Teelo, never knew my outrageous words/slang is still contagious :smiley:

Anyway u guys have any nicks that stuck to u, or u stuck 'um on others like bad aids for life?

Well i have a friend and his awsome name is Khuram, and i luv him just like a bro. His height is very short and he is very skinny aswell so i always used to call him my son lol, one day we 6 friends were going to montreal and i was driving and Khuram kept on changing the songs :s and it was bothering me, so unintentiolly i bursted out "stick to one song NIMKO" and woh din aur aaj ka din, the whole hamilton calls the poor kid "nimko" lolzz and i sometimes feel guilty aswell, but he is such a nice dude that he never got mad at me for this.

ps. if someone is wondering wat nimko is, its a desi snack.

There was someone whose initial was DB (not dhobi bhai) and I used to call that person DataBase. :sheyn1:

AQ nice to know … I recal there once was this mota bacha on GS, and I used to call him chishmatoo, but it was kinda low key, so didn’t aired it much in public :halo:

This is a very interesting thread I used to call one my science teacher miss Paro as her name was parveen us ke baad un kaa naam hi paro parh gaya thaa and our whole group had a nicks like zari,hami, but the funny was iro it was from Iro but it was good time.Oh and ab bhi khcuh nick hain jo kehnay kaa dil kerta hai but mein apnay aap ko kabo mein rakhti hoon like AQ kaa aqqoo or Sajal ka sajli or kajli .TLK hamaray Director sahib kaa takloo bohat acha nick ahi :cb:

ah my good old Lafi bunty is the best gupper amidst these youngster. I can truly vouch that this jigr has a sound head on his shoulders but very few are aware of it! He is by far my favourite kid on this block, and its all due to him that I've re-entered GS, cuz I used find his posts soooooo funny on voice!!!

in college we had nicknames for everyone in the fraternity so much so that years later we still hardly call anyone with their real names but their nicknames, i would be talkign to someone and say yeah i got an email from george last week, George who they ask.."the waver" ..and then it clicks.

my habit to do that continued in bschool

a korean pal yong kyu park, we changed his name to sumdumf#@#, and he is till known by that. one pal was the only med student in the group so he became doc..and now when he calls us he says "hey its doc calling"

frat nicknames were funny..and had somethign to do with a person's looks, habits, clai to fame etc.

pops, blossom, weiner, too-tall, lollypop, ed-the-bed, wildThang, damascus, kamikaze, mr-clap, yank-me, psycho, tuttifuiti, chimichanga, gopher, thejerk, woody, natedog, papasmurf, captaincavemen, freedomrock, fragglerock, The-beave, sixpack, monkeyman, metal, GiJoe, star-man, "e", magic-dragon, are some that come to mind right away
