So what special nicknames does everyone uses to call their significant other? And if single what nicksnames would you like to use in the future for example…jaan, sweatheart, honey, bunny, dummy :slight_smile:

for the record: i think its looks highly DUMB when girls call their fiancee/hubby “sweety” :rolleyes: i mean come on, is he some kid or some female that he should be called “sweety” :hehe: even “jaanu” and stuff are just TOO cheezy and not respectful enough ugh :yukh: “pappu k abba” sounds retarded as well :halo: and the classic “sunYeee jii” sounds like straight out of a drama :rolleyes: “sarTaaj” sounds like a dialogue out of a low budget lollywood movie as well :hehe: and calling by the person’s name or a variation of it is too modern.

i think i’ll stick with what my mom and dad do with each other. they never ever address each other or call each other anything but just start talkin :smiley: and when they have to refer to each other in third person they sometimes say “in k papa” on “in kee mummy” or sometimes use the first name.

^ oh comon............"in k papa" on "in kee mummy" is a modern version of "tufail kay baap, irem ki maan"..............if yr parents were inoovative enuff in their days to put in mummy papa in its stead......then tumhai koi kuch nahin kahani gaa if u put in ones u like too. :)

As long as couples call each other with nicknames in private its ok. But at public places it seems cheezy, corny and sometimes depending on the nickname, even retarted. Its always an awkward feeling I get when hearing a woman call out her significant other like "sweety" or "honey" at public places and then you look at the "sweety".
We go with our first names in public and during conversations with others.
