Nicer dicer plus

Who owns it here and is it really worth it ?

Re: Nicer dicer plus

wanted to buy it too but was not sure... any reviews here

Re: Nicer dicer plus

Lol these things are so gimmicky and unreliable. I think people get roped into the infomercial and how easy it seems and all that - but in the end, it ends up in the cabinet with the rest of infomercial stuff. Useless. I would say forget about it.

The best thing I saw on TV, that I actually used as well, was the Magic Bullet.

Re: Nicer dicer plus

So I shouldn't bother investing my money on it ?

Re: Nicer dicer plus

Is there any way to make chopping onions and all that easier? :frowning:

I hate chopping onions.

:crying:

Re: Nicer dicer plus

Pool goggles work (i scared the hell outta my husband) or I put the ventilator on while cutting onions. The last works also but kills residents eyes

Re: Nicer dicer plus

I have never seen pro chefs using these kind of tools. They always use knife - enough said?

PS: btw, 90% of the "as seen on tv" stuff is crap...do not waste your money.

Re: Nicer dicer plus

I bought a Vidalia Chop Wizard for $15 from bed bath and beyond. It works really well, specially for onions. Have been using it for about 3 years now and I’d say it saves a lot of hassle and time. It comes with a small comb to clean after use.

Re: Nicer dicer plus

I remember watching these adverts and thinking there is a massive flaw: the purpose is to make chopping fruit and veg easier. But look at everything that’s being used: peppers, carrots, onions etc, they’ve all been pre-prepared by someone, peeled, deseeded and chopped into perfect sized squares to fit the machine. The amount of time it takes to prepare all the veg, you may as well do the chopping itself too!

Yep. 90% is crap, but for the 10%, you just wait till KitchenAid comes out with it.
