Character of Mirza sahib
“My lady, that mother of Aziz Muzaffer Ahmad, narrated to me that Hazrat Maseeh Mowood usually used warm water for to clean himself in the toilet and did not use cold water. One day he asked some maid to keep LOTA in the toilet. By mistake she kept a LOTA of hot water(!!!) After finishing when Hazrat Maseeh Mowood came out, he asked who had kept this LOTA. When he was informed that a certain maid had kept it, he called her and asked her to stretch her hand and then he poured all the remaining (HOT) water on her hands, so that she will realize that such hot water cannot be used for cleaning (the pakhana - faeces). He did not say anything else to her.”
(Seerat-ul-Mahdi, part 3, p.243, narration 847,
by Mirza Basheer Ahmad s/o Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani.)
"Hazrat Maulana Nooruddin Saheb mentioned that 'Huzoor! One question most people ask that sometimes they encounter situations when unless they pay something to the officials, their task is not done and they are destroyed.'
(Huzoor) said: "To me BRIBE is defined as to dissolve someone's rights or to illegally suppress ` or take away the rights of the government SOMETHING IS GIVEN according to his demand. If the situation is such that there is no loss for anyone and neither is it someone else's right, only given to protect your own right and this is not BRIBE. Rather it is analogous to as if we are going on the road and some dog comes from the front and we give him a piece of bread and go our way so that we remain safe from his mischief." (Roohani Khazain 2, Malfoozat vol.3 p.317)
"BRIBE should never be given. It is a big sin. BUT I DEFINE BRIBE as that through the rights of Government or
others are destroyed. I absolutely forbids it but if given in a manner in which there is no intention of violation the
rights of others, but only to prevent the violation of your own right and safeguard from the mischief, then in my
opinion this is not prohibited. I do not call it BRIBE." (Roohani Khazain 2, Malfoozat vol.3 p.320)
"Bribe and gift should be differentiated. Bribe is that which is given or taken to violate the right of others. Otherwise if someone does one of my work dutifully and no one's right is violated, then whatever is given to him
is the fee for his effort." (Roohani Khazain 2, Malfoozat vol.5 p.223)

It will be nice to point out the great websites you got the quote from, it is not nice to get the sawab when you didn't do the research yourself. Unless off course you read the books.
So, may I ask, what is the fatwa on money given to officials who would not give you your right? Is it considered a bribe?
My sister who worked as a doctor in the Pubjab government didn't get paid for six months because the person in payroll would not clear her check unless you give him some money. We got him reported at least to 3-4 different of his officials but nothing happened. He actually increased his asking price.
This whole thread is in a very bad taste. Rediculing someone's religious figures. And when the tables are turned, run to Feedback forum and cry why Islam is insulted.
