The other city of Pakistan is the Peshawar
where people are very helpful to each other
and they are kind and gentle by nature.

Re: Nice peoples
I am an American who is married to a Pakistani from the Peshawar area, although his family home is in the area of Jamrud Market. I recently visited this area as well as Peshawar from Oct 2010 until Feb 2011. I first went into culture shock when I landed in Karachi. THe people I met there were in the airport were not very nice. One man tried to charge me $10 for taking my luggage to the bus to the hotel. I was scared to death and wondered if I had made a huge mistake for even coming. Then the next day I was off on another plane to Peshawar. The people I met in the city and villages were wonderfully hospitable. Their care of each other is amazing to say the least. ALthough the people were wonderful, I must admit I truly fell in love with the country of Pakistan itself! What a wonderfully, beautifully, blessed country where one can wake up each morning and see the beautiful mountains and valleys, clear skies and smiling people (women under burka's of course...lol) I wore a burka as well anytime we went into the cioty. But at the family home I wore only a scarf. I would love to go back. I am now making plans to travel back in November of 2011. I can't wait! This time though, no man will be able to steal money from me by force. I will instead give him 100 rupees if he is kind. :)
