Riya, on the topic of Daadis and speaking; I’ll share a little something.
My Daadi (may her soul rest in peace) was completely paralysed for 1.5 yrs, could walk talk, eat, nothing. At times it felt like she didn’t recognise us, but other times you could tell from her facial expressions that she did. I used to sleep in her room and helped in taking care of her in the last 4 months of her life… I know its selfish but I so wanted a sign from her that she recognised me… one night, my Chaacho said to my Daadi “Ammi yeh aap ki pooti _____ hai na”, and she turned her eyes to me and said my name (very clearly) followed by a few words I couldn’t decipher 
that happines, oh God! I have few moments in my life that I felt that happy, all praise to Allah for blessing me with the chance to hear my name from my Daadis lips. I miss her so much at times
