The big news in the US media these days is the mess going on in Texas with that polygamous sect, taking kids from mothers yada yada yada. Looking at some of the pictures of these community members and hearing more about their social and religious views, I think that other than all that marrying under-age girls to seriously old guys and popping up babies like rabbits, these people are fine examples of a pure sin-free life-style, well covered ladies and wonderful family values.
These ladies are so well-covered in their dresses, that apart from not covering the hair bit, they can be opted-in as hijabis.
Um.. no? They rape little girls and force boys out of their homes (because the older men want as many women/girls as they can). They also traded these women around with other men like cattle. These people are not sin free.. the men live a very hedonistic lifestyle and the women allow themselves to be abused.
I fail to see how forcing your daughters to be raped by 50 year old men and kicking your boys out of your community so those same men can have more sex equates to wonderful family values.
Well, the whole polygamy thing is kinda creepy there, especially with such under age girls. I am talking about their dress code and other values.
What other values? They think that men are entitled to as much sex with any age female as they want, that women must be submissive to men (they aren't allotted the same rights as Muslim women are), and that when they die, they will become god's and rule their own planets.
