So yea…i would have started a playoff thread…but seeing how not that many good teams made it…there’s no point lol!
But I would really like to see the cup come back to canada where it truly belongs…therefore…and I can’t believe i’m about to say this…but…I really hope the Canucks can pull it off…right after the Flames crush them on Saturday…
And of course i’m def. cheering for the Habs from the East!!!
As long as the sharks, redwings or lightning don’t win…I think I will be a happy camper!

Just face it....HOCKEY is CANADA'S Sport....and will always be for the following reasons:
1: Canadians have the genetics to become amazing hockey players....half the players in the states are Canadian...
2: We are a hockey nation....its just something we are born to be good at....who won the gold in the Olympics.....(need I say more)
3: The Canucks will bring it home this season...and that wil show you all up..cause the odds for a Canadian team to win the cup is smaller as there are soooo many american teams...don't forget its quality over quantity! :P
I could go on....but now i must go and watch some curling...which is a sport FYI haha

And basically all Vancouver had to do was get rid of luongo's captaincy...cause he ain't got no leadership abilities...(just saying) and nominate a player that actually has some skill....
p.s. It should be illegal to play with your brother on the same team....so unfair especially when they can read each other's minds...

yup, so they may have great innate abilities, but they are playing for US based NHL teams, player nationality does not matter in professional sports.

you have a point, canada did win in 2010 and 2002, and before that 1952 and before...so if we are going to take that record as some sort of standard then US teams have won stanley cup without a break since 1993...need I say more :)

lol X2 man....Canada doesn't have as many states as you guys...we have 10 provinces...you guys have like 50 states...so its inevitable that you guys will have more teams...and therefore will need more players...Canada only has 6 teams....so obviously all the amazing players can't stay here :(
And so because of that you guys have kept winning the cup for over million years lol...but I do agree that it is about quality of players...but throughout a season injuries take place and ppl get traded....and a little bit has to do with just sheer luck!! (and that's the story im sticking too :P)
But seriously I believe our curse it gonna be broken this season.....The canucks are onto something....game 7 was AMAZING....you can't find this level of intensity in any other sport!! lol
