There are number of NGOs working in various parts of the world and Pakistan. Many are doing a good job but their activities have been suspicious at times. The link below leads to an article about how various NGOs are trying to preach Christianity in Pakistan in the name of helping the poor.
Re: NGOs spreading Christianity?
There’s nothing wrong in that right. People are free to make up thier own minds. Thats what Makes Democracy so great!
Re: NGOs spreading Christianity?
I hope somebody can post Fatwa information on this topic.
I think that they should be allowed to preach as long as
they don’t spy and show disrespect to Prophet Muhammad(may Allahs peace and blessing be upon him).
Pakistan's laws, as I understand, only allows preaching of Christianity to non-Muslims. For example, I read that foreign christian missionaries are only given missionary visas if they are coming to Pakistan to preach to the pagan Kalash tribes. If they request a missionary visa to preach to Muslims, they are denied entry.
At least they're not killing people.

No, I mean the islamists in pakistan. Forgotten about the massacrs of shias so quickly, have you? You can't face the american army, so you kill innocent people.
Let me get this straight. Freedom of prosletyzing is for non-muslims and muslims towards non-muslims only? What kind of stupid rule is that?

Dude, generally, Sunnis in Pakistan dont have much against Shias. If you have grievances, go talk to the extremist groups behind these activities. The common Pakistani has all sympathies with the Shias who are killed - and it really DOES pain us all. And dont give me a conspiracy theory that it's all one big strategy against u guys - thats all BS. I had shias living and studying with me in Pakistan, my best friends, and they were all cool about it. I wonder why you are so peeved.

Someone remind this guy that this thread is not about 'amreeka'
Coming back to the topic. There are missionaries and NGO's in Pakistan who are doing that. I dont think they have a high success rate, and they are doing it very cautiously, as they know anything on a higher magnitude might cost them their lives.
LOl… Exactly Spock " What a but ****"!!!.. ![]()

I'm not talking about sunnis. I'm talking about islamist nutcases, who hate shias as much, if not more then they do americans. These type of people are fighting america in afghanistan and iraq, and shias elsewhere. Do not forget they are the same people who kill americans and kill shais or sunnis who they do not like. Two sides of the same coin. My problem is only with the islamist mullahs, their jihadis and backers, not anyone esle.
