So I’ve learnt that a lot of organisations exist within Pakistan which are funded by parent organisations from US , UK , German , French ( USAID , ICRC , MSF etc ) and they deal with Medical Flood relief and providing water sanitation , Maternal and Child Health and Family Planning etc.
Was wondering if anyone is personally involved in such organizations and what are the payscales like ?
The payscales are usually way above the market average. I have a friend working for USAID, he used to work in a bank before and his pay has almost quadrupled for a similar job.
***Riz would you be able to get any kind of info for me for a similar job in the medical field ? I have a job offer and they have asked me what my salary expectations are , I do not wanna over or under quote an amount .
What is the average salary expected as a doctor ?***
Sheyn, I don't have any info on the medical field, my friend is in a security related branch of USAID and when he joined he had around 4 years of work experience. And payscales do vary a bit between NGOs so you have to keep that in mind too. Generally I would say quote higher than what you would normally expect and it's always better to over-quote than under-quote. Usually NGO's have pre-determined pay grades and many even make the salary clear when you're applying for the job.
