tuck rule is still in place..r u sure you are following american football?
anyways a rule is a rule..referee made the right call..and raiders still could have stopped the patriots and win the game but no..better team won..patriots were also able to defeat the favorites steelers and rams
all the rookies are playing major minutes this year..plus they have many top picks next year..when the draft will be much better and deeper
[/QUOTE]
Are you suer it is still in place.....yeah its on the books, but referres are instructed not to call it any more. Are you sure you are watching American footbal or just the brady bunch? Anyway, get ready to be schooled by the master this weekend.
comparing McNairs and Mannings "big game record" is not fair. McNair for 5years now had played with one of the best defenses in the league. The only time Manning has played with a half way decent defense is now.
McNair has never ever thrown for 3500 yards even which isn't hard to do. He hasn't put up any numbers. His team has been a top tier one becuase of the team defense and not Steve McNair.
^^ Is that right khan Ji. So if Manning is such a great quarterback, how come he could not rise to the occasion and overocme defenses problems? Also, there defense was not top notch but was never horrible? When you look at the play off games that idny has played, they did not loose becasue of the defense, it was lack of offense that killed them.
you really think that throwing for 3500 yards is easy …ever threw a footbal 10 yards down the field?
Read my post again, McNair did what was asked of him. Titans wanted to ride Eddie George, McNair was asked to manage the game. Manage the game he did, oh BTW he made some sensational plays with his ability to scramble and get out of jams. Now that Titans need his arem to succeed, he is coming through yet again.
Why is this discussion still going ?? There is no competition between Manning & Mcnair as far as a QB position is concerned. But one can't hold manning responsible for Colt's play off losses.
Kaleem - Titans have lost against Patriots and Colts both, so even if they win against these two team, it isn't going to change anything. Mcnair is still 0-2 against Manning & Brady. It will only make 2-2.
Asif, are we only looking at this year? Then yes you are correct. If we are looking at the career wise, Titans own Colts, I am not sure about the record against the brady bunch, to be honest I do not care...they are not in the same division.
Manning is not responsible for their losses in the playoffs ....but then agian he is not responsible for their wins either. Manning is over hyped, over rated just like Jeter with Yankees. arghhh Media Darlings.
I am talking about this year only and it seems that so far Colts & Patriots have upper hand. It doesn't mean that I support any of those two teams. I hate NE and Brady but have to admit they are playing good this year.
kaleem i suggest u start watching the real football games...like i said the rule was never changed..if its still the rule then why wouldnt the referees call it? these are professional referees and they know how to do their job
anyways how many superbowls have the titans won? lol yeh i knew it..patriots have a better coach and a much better future as well
asif..why do u hate brady so much? just because he is one of the hardest worker? just because he is so composed and does not get rattled...just because he has won 10 come from behind games in 46 games..only elway was better at that
Shearaz sahib, unlike you I know there is a world outside of New England Boston area. I do watch NFL games, and I know that I have watched a game where this same rule was not called and the explaination given was that NFL does not want the referres to call it any more. Yes they are professioanls, but they are still paid from NFl...that is why NFl has a rules committe, which makes recomendations after each year. I suggest you start paying attention to the rest of the NFL and not just the Brady bunch.
Best coach...yeah the guy who got the cold feet and left NY Jets just 15 minutes after being named head coach. That is a sign of a man with integrity and leader..yeah right.
Asif, AFC south division has not been decided yet...when the colts come to Nashville and get their behinds whopped on DEC 7th then and only then will we find out who has the upper hand. Roght now they both have similar record and one loss in the division. Colts can enjoy there phantom upper hand for another 3 weeks, because it is not going to last.
kaleem..i am gonna tell u again in simple words..this rule has never been changed..before u said that nfl had to change the rule..then u started to say that refs stopped callin this..there is a big difference between ur claims..besides the refs will call the same way if they have to
p.s. patriots have gone to 3 superbowls and won 1..titans have done nothing..thank u
Sheraz, living in denial only goes so long. The whole world knows that it was a fumble. Maybe you want to go an check NFL's website for rule modifications. You will find out what I am talking about.
Let me ask you something, Have you seen that rule ever called before or after that game? NO. Dont tell me that situation never came up. The reason I am so sure is becasue, similar play happened on Monday Night Football and they called it a fumble.... This is how Al Michaels explained, it...paraphrase" NFL wanted to change the rule aftre the super bowl, but did not because it will cause a lot of controversy...they have decided to phase it out...however refrees have been instructed not to call it"...So there, now go on and eat some clam chowder.
mr. nfl expert kaleem forgot to watch the dallas-buffalo game..someone mentioned to me that he was watching the dallas game and saw the tuck rule called in that game..so i went and found the recap of that game..kaleem this should be enough to shut u up for good..i m not gonna post the whole article but it can be found at :
http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/gamecenter/recap/NFL_20031109_BUF@DAL
Drew Bledsoe was 17-of-34 for 104 yards while under heavy pressure all game. He was sacked three times and lost two fumbles; he was spared from a third by the tuck rule. His longest completion was an 18-yard screen.
for your kind information, this game was this past weekend..do ur homework before you argue with me here and embarrass yourself..when you play a game you gotta follow its rules

say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
don't quit your day job mr. nfl expert :) master got schooled by the student
Sheraz I can see you are really happy with the Pats win yesterday.
What a day of football it has been. Raiders finally won, Pats shutout Cowboys, Greenbay beats Bucs, and the biggest of em all Bengals upset Chiefs.
Sheraz, dont worry I will not quit my day job, unilke you I have one. Maybe you should start looking for one. I never claimed to be an NFL expert.
It was a good win for Pats and the brady bunch. I hpe they keep up the mirror and smoke a little longer and dont fade out like last year.
ale le le kaleem u seem upset..now calling me jobless..have you ever been correct on anything? lol
anyways patriots did win 9 games last year and its not easy to win in this league..just look at last years champs and the runner up
yes 5abi it was a great day of football..i knew the bengals could beat the chiefs..i like our chances

Who is coming across as an expert, you knew Bengals could beat the chiefs... are you in the gaurantee business or its your day job? :D
Upset, no my man. I dont get upset over some game. Its all fun my friend. Its never personal.
Of ocurse its not easy to win in this league...that is the excuse given by the teams who fail to make the post season. Anyhow, good luck to your brady bunch they are going to need it. I just peeked at their schedule, it gets tough from here on out. Even the Texans game can be tough.
you are right kaleem..beating division leaders like titans, cowboys, eagles and teams like dolphins and broncos was the easy part of the schedule lol
texans, jaguars, jets and lousy bills scare me big time

Kaleem - You are the one who has been acting as an expert, First you said 'Parcells is going to school Bellichik' then you said Titans will beat colts on dec 7. Infact you have already declared TITANS as the AFC champs over CHIEFS. As if you know everything. One look at this thread and anyone can say that It looks like your DAY JOB than anyone else.
As far as Bengals beating Chiefs - Lot of people knew that Bengals could (Not would) beat Chiefs . Look at their record after the Bye week. They have beaten some good teams.
I like the Titans team more than Patriots but arrogant fans like you make me hate good teams like Titans. Sheraz CT is right Patriots have played well this season and have beaten some good Teams including your TITANS. :)
