I heard a rumour that Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s son is coming to perform in Toronto. Can anyone substantiate this claim?

son .. nop he does not have no son .. but he adopted his nephew and trained him in Qwali .. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan .. who just few weeks back made his international debut .. Check out his alum on Amazon, Tower records or Cdnow... NAFK last studio recordings were released the same week ...

that's what i know as well...and i think Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has already been to toronto once for a concert...not sure though...i might be wrong...

for your information Muzna and Rooster-Blues - NFAK only had a daughter, the singer you are talking about is Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who is the as Rooster-blue said correctly NFAK's nephew and son of Furrakh Fateh Ali Khan - the harmonium and backup singer in the group. NFAK took it amongst himself to train RFAK to be the next in line to take charge of the group. RFAK has been singing since the death of NFAK and has several albums out of his own and as far as I know he has done several tours already.

yeah it was rahat, his nephew, it was an awesome performance here in edmonton last week, i went to it. he did the same songs as his uncle and is touring with the same entouage as his uncle. its definaltey a must see concert...
