in hindi it is myaan.

both are farsi alfaaz and both mean casing for the swords.

btw, what does **‘miyaanii’ **mean? :wink: :cb:

I think the common term is Meyaan. Though both are correct.

Another term is Shamshir Bund, again its of Persian origin but much less common.

So whats brought about the swords discussion...? rubs hands in anticipation

Also when a guy breaks his scabbard its like an ultimatum or message equivalent to "No Pasaran" or No Surrender...
