next prime minister if

I saw Ayub Khan’s martial law coming. I did not know then what is Martial Law. I only know one day when early morning I reached school I learnt about some change and till afternoon I saw fly nets being erected on milk and meat shops. This was martial law for me. The first little understanding of politics I got when in Rawalpindi in 1978 Bhutto lead a Jaloos. But the real understanding of politics and affairs of the country came to my mind when in 1972 I started seeing the very peaceful atmosphere in Karachi starting turning sour particularly industrial peace. This understanding came in my mind when I saw the owner of Pakistan’s most famous sweetmeat makers Ahmed Sweets in Uncle Sarriya Hospital where he was admitted as his labour had thrown him into boiling oil in the factory as Bhutto has told the labourers that Factory was theirs and not of the owner. Since then I hated Peoples Party. It is my belief what evil things like nationalization of industries, nationalization of education, total freedom to labour, insults to investors etc were inducted in the society then are the main cause what later governments of Zia, Benazir, and Nawaz had to bear and still General Musharraf is bearing. I do remember how all of a sudden life in streets changed in 1972 when we started fearing from those hold a “Red Identity Card” in their pockets. I can never believe any PPP can ever serve the nation. However, the first time my heart has changed for Asif Zardari seeing his stand bearing so long 8 years jail. He stood determined and did not make himself as “Bikaoo Mall”. I know during his “jail” every luxury was with him nevertheless he had the worst punishment of not seeing his children infant age innocent juggleries which makes such a deprived man most unfortunate. Asif Zardari is preparing himself for next election and has recently said if in power he would pay attention to sufferings of masses. Every coming running this race says the same but when he comes into power his dictionary changes and he claims ‘poverty and unemployment has reduced and economically Pakistan has become tiger”. But since Asif Zardari has come out of jail as a very mature man, he has time of deep thinking in isolation it is largely presumed his thinking has changed. I hope so. I wish if Asif Ali Zardari takes oath on Holy Quran that on coming power his basic top priority agenda would be , One: to increase national savings rates, Two: withdraw houses, transports etc from all bureaucracy and allow allowances, Three: no one in future to own a house of more than 1000 yards, Fourth: for admission in educational institutions a domicile only acceptable if applicant also got education from school in his domicile town, Firth: no turn coat lota in any case to be taken in cabinet, Sixth: on writing off loans may be for genuine reason, the same to be recovered from personal property of directors of that industrial unit , Seventh: Asif Zardari as PM invariably to read himself for one hour daily letters to editors from all newspapers of the country – no cuttings to be made by Secretaries but he himself, Eight: no public reserved space to be allotted to anyone, Ninth: no medical treatment abroad on government expense of anyone Thenth: No staff car entitlement going home on retirement finished and Eleventh the most important one On levy of new tax on increase of fuel electricity gas charges it would be totally banned any minister or leader to say it would not affect the common man and if some said so it would be treated as treason. If he pledged all these on Holy Book I am sure even though he is put in jail again people would vote his poster.

Re: next prime minister if

i wouldnt believe him even if he says all this before his last breath.
few days ago mr and mrs were on ARY with Dr Shahid Masood, and inspite of asll proof, not just from Pakistan burt from outside aswell they blatantly deny thevery basic common knowledge and accpeted cases against them; the Surrey mansion still has nothing to do with Benazir and the Swiss accs are still not her's. perhaps the govt of Pak bribed the Swiss courts.

Liars...Liars like them can not change over 8 yrs of luxurious arrests. they would sell their souls for self gain. thats what theyve always done, thats what drives them, thats what theyll keep doing. I just hope we as a nation gain a better perception of things that happen.

Re: next prime minister if

No adjective or cliche would be far fetched for this man.
A known Mr 10% was made Minister for Investment, how corny, almost straight out of a banana republic.

Re: next prime minister if

"Asked whether he was willing to meet Benazir personally, Musharraf, who has not hidden his distaste for the former prime minister in the past, replied: “That time has not come as yet; when the time comes, yes, one doesn’t mind meeting anyone. “But at the moment it’s not right at all, especially with whatever is happening now,” he said, referring to the PPP’s rally plans in Lahore. “The attempt to disturb law and order in Lahore on the 16th is not conducive to good, harmonious relations,” said Musharraf, who is due to leave for India that day in an attempt to move forward a slow-moving peace process.”
