Next Generation Identification

FBI is embarking on a $1 Billion World’s largest biometric database of peoples’ physical characteristics. This will give the government the ability to identify individuals in the United Sates and abroad.

System will contain digital images of faces, fingerprints and palm patterns in a climate-controlled, secure location. FBI will award a 10-year contract that will expand the amount and kinds of biometric information it receives. Police and law inforcement authorities around the world will be able to use the system to identify people on iris patterns, face-shape data, scars and even the way people talk and walk. FBI will also have, upon request by the employers, the fingerprints of employees who have undergone criminal background chekcs so the emplyers can be notified if the person had a criminal past.

FBI hopes that the system will help slove crimes and identify criminals and terrorists.

Re: Next Generation Identification

chalo this way half of the muslim population through out the world will either end up in gitmo or in graves bcos i don’t really see muslims condition improving in the near future and that will only give rise to more desperation and terrorist :halo:

Re: Next Generation Identification

in essence nothing different than fingerprinting now which ppl have to go thru for immigration, security clearance, background checks, teachers have to go through it also, and u have to go thru local, state and federal finger printing and background checks for an international adoption.

the only difference here is that they are recording more information than just fingerprints now.

Re: Next Generation Identification

who cares..let them do wht they want to..:snooty:

Re: Next Generation Identification

Looks more like another Homeland Security and merger of Immigration and Custom agency. Big government, more tax and job rarely gets done. Security should be left on local levels.

Re: Next Generation Identification

security was never left on local levels.

Re: Next Generation Identification

according to brother DL we are already third class citizens, so you wana say after this we will be tenth grade citizen :hehe:

Re: Next Generation Identification

X2: which is sad, i am more in favor of airlines providing their own security than government giving their elaborate procedures of "items you can and can't take".

Re: Next Generation Identification

would u like airlines to keep databases on people then?

Re: Next Generation Identification

yes, as long as those databases don't violate privacy of individuals.

Re: Next Generation Identification

and if it does not violate privacy then does it matter who has that info?

Re: Next Generation Identification

its a very silly question, but did any one here studied forensic science? or do have knowledge/interest in FS

Re: Next Generation Identification

like what dudee? they want my urine samples now?

Re: Next Generation Identification

first post mein likha hua hai multinick bhai :)

Re: Next Generation Identification

no, but unfortunatly government has violated privacy for political reasons. moreover, after FEMA, Department of Homeland Security, i think its better not to enlarge the broken government. they can hardly run what's there.

Re: Next Generation Identification

what multinick. what are you talking about.

Re: Next Generation Identification

Re: Next Generation Identification
