aah. wouldn’t such a trade be nice? ![]()
very funny Samby :)
AS much as Raps and TO fans might want to see Kobe play in TO, I dont think such a trade will happen.
Some rumors have been flying that Kobe may go and talk to Isiah Thomas of NY Knicks. There are also some rumors that Tracy McGrady may be lured to LA. But so far its all rumors. Laker owner wont give up Kobe (age 25) that easy. He backed away from extending Shaq's (age 32) contract and extending coach Phil Jackson's contract. These are the two guys Kobe's has expressed his resentment with openly. Go figure :D
Very hi funny Samby…just cuz you are a mod you can start rumours? ![]()
I love vincanity even when we lose!! I don’t want any cocky ba$tard coming to Toronto.
Don’t be surprised if Kobe is playing with Duncan next season.
Allah, Fayz bhai, aap rooth kay kitnay acchay lagtay hain. :-p
I’m kinda netural towards Vincanity. I’d much rather see the Raps win than Carter throw down a couple of pretty dunks. which is why I don’t care if Carter goes.
Bryant is the future man. it doesn’t matter if he’s a cocky so and so, he wants to win unlike Carter who’s happy in all circumstances. maybe we can get Shaq for Carter. now that would be a fair deal too, wouldn’t it 5abs? ![]()
Take Shaq out of Lakers and you will have yourself Raptors in 'slightly' better outfits. Kobe can’t do jack without Shaq, a semi decent bench & coaching team.
Carter’s will to win has been questioned on numerous occasions but if Kobe had to play 72 games with the supporting cast that Carter has then he would be equally inconsistent. Let the next season come and I hope Kobe plays for the Clippers and we shall see!!
if only…

Samby, you are partially right. You see, you cant just blame a guy like Carter for Raptors woes. Its bigger than that and it starts from Owner downwards, General Manager, coaching staff etc. They all need to have a winning attitude, be on the same page and all that jazz.
And you are right bout Kobe's attitude. He is one of the most competitive, hardworking, disciplined (minus his offcourt escapades) NBA player in recent times. And if and when he leaves LA for another team, it wont be for the money.
And if it was upto me, I wouldnt trade Shaq for anyone else. I still think both Kobe and Shaq can play together in same uniform.
There's no franchise in NBA that can pull out the trade of Shaq and Kobe. Plus, Kobe won't settle for 98 mil(as that's the best amount franchise like Spurs, Suns has to offer) where in LA he has got $ 110 mil for past years; and could wind up for $ 141 mil for next 7-year deal.
Bottom line: Kobe won't leave L.A. Shaq will get the extension by the end of '05 season. :)
