While a news reporter is expected to be unbiased and objective, an analyst should be free to hold personal opinions and to express them. I don’t think it is fair to criticize columnists, TV anchors, analysts and pundits for being biased unless the person is blatantly lying.

I also think that specially with such deep impact TV is making in countries like ours, the TV channels must make it very clear the distinction between ‘news’ and analysts own opinions and analysis.

True but they must also exhibit sensitivity and commonsense and not take cheap shots at people while they lie sick in bed
