If you truly believe that the Qur’an is the Word of God … then you must be compelled to believe that there cannot be any falsehood in there … Using certain rules we can decipher which things cannot be literal and which things can.

I once did. now i am doubtful.
who came up with those rules by the way? did God send them or did the Prophet devise them? or is it the later people?
