I remember when I first started GSing around. I was young, I was naive, I didn’t know that guppies spoke to each other over MSN, formed bonds, met in real life, dated, and got married or got in fights.
I just saw what everyone sees on the screen - topics upon topics to debate. Statements made by other guppies that need to be corrected. Statements to learn from. Basically virtually counterargue until you need to get back to reality.
But lately, maybe its because I know more people now, it seems that there are a few guppies who post a LOT (like me ) and very few who don’t. Many of those who don’t are newbie guppies - shy to talk. They might feel like they’ll be ignored, or they’re not in the cool group.
Worry not, if you’re not in the sadi-sobi clique or in funguy’s harem, or on the mod team, or in the perpetual opposition to the mod team, you’re not losing out on much
Comon newbies, I want you folks to introduce yourselves. I think you’re qualified to be a newbie if you’ve been around here for a few months.
Or are there no newbies, and the few guppies who do post a lot are running a monopoly??
I've been visiting this forum for over a year now but majority of my posts are in Cricketnama. Its true that most of the times when I want to participate in a General discussion, I feel a bit reluctant (or shy, as you may call). There is that feeling that seasoned guppies may not like a junior member's participation in their threads. Anyway, there is nothing to support this feeling, so maybe its my fault.
So here I am..... WitchDoctor. I used to be a witch doctor but I've left that profession. Currently I'm into IT. Resident of LHR/PK. Hopefully this intro will break some ice (on my part).
despite being in this forum for more than a year and having 1000 post, I really don't have any friends in this forum. Most of the time I read the replies without even looking at who wrote them. Although I am a old member, I don't have any cliques or friends from gs.
I am a sad lonely shy person. I dont say much because people will find out what an awkward person I am. I have never had a steady friend. Socializing to me is Johnson and Johnson hand lotion. PCG will you be my friend?
Everyday when I log in to GS, I feel like a novice newbie. I am really scared of even clicking on forums such as Poetry, Arcade, Eco etc. So, I am a newbie in some sense.
