Yes another name from the past is gone. Former New Zealand skipper Bevan Congdon passed away one day short of his 80th birthday. The reports say he led NZ to its first victory over Australia.
But for some of us, another childhood star is gone. From all accounts, Congdon was a gentleman cricketer.

As much as I thought I knew about Cricket and Cricketers, this name doesnt ring a bell. Probably because kiwi players never played cricket for too long until recently.
