whr i cna find crockery, kitchn aitems and decoration for home
salon for haircutting wax and faiclas
sorry to botehr u by asking all this
if u dont midn can u tell me which area u live in newyork
i already told u in post 15 where to find all this stuff. if you want somethign cheap go to ikea. There is also an outlet center in Riverhead, Long Island which is about a 1.5 hour drive from NYC and they have all sorts of stores where you can purchase furniture, kitchen appliances, dinnerware, decor items, clothes, shoes, food, etc. It's called Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. They also have a pottery barn outlet store there which sells discounted items... greatly discounted. and most of these shops u can check out their websites before going in to purchase anything.
i wrote a detailed experience in the Fashion and Beauty forum about my haircut at Roy Teeluck's salon in nyc. It was amazing but it's a bit pricey. You can find a haircut place in the city for nearly every budget just do a google search. My SIL went to a place called Extravaganza and her haircut was pretty nice as well she paid around $75 for it. And I'm sure you can find places that do haircuts for cheaper and for more. A lot of the cheap places are in chinatown. but usually many hair salons offer a promotion specially for first tiem customers.
the only waxing/threading place i know of is the one i go to near my home which is great so i have never needed to look anywhere else. the one i go to is called meena threading place and they have branches in the city. depending on the area u move to, u should do a google search of the area to find these places and read the reviews.
thanx sumorani.i appriciate ur help one last question actually me and my couisn are coming to ny alone.we dont ve any relative there.just my aunt's freind where v r gonna stay for soem time while v wil look for rented place for us.but she told us that they saw some places for us in different areas like broklyn, manhattan and freshmeadowns.if u know about these palces can u tell me about it.
ok my question was we both know driving but since v have no licence v cnat drive plus we dont know the location and rastaas so will b roaming in tubes, trains and buses.we dont wana use cabs since we are strangers there and there is out firs tiem in ny .
so if u know about public transport then do tell me.all these places u and other mention what public transport u can use to go there???
well usually when a person is coming for the first time, they prefer using cabs than the subway because they might get lost in a subway in a foreign land. I just went to Barcelona and we used cabs the while time cuz we didn't wanna get lost in a place we didn't know. Anyway, the subway system including the buses are really easy. Just ask for a subway map at any station, or you might have to buy it and they can get u everywhere u wanna go, it's not only for manhattan but extends to the other borougs, like Queens Brooklyn etc.
Manhattan is an island, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten island, and the Bronx surround it. Rent will be the cheapest outside manhattan. Coney island is a desi area in Brooklyn and Jackson heights is the one in queens. Fresh meadows is also in queens, close to Jackson heights.
thanks sumurani actually we have a fear that might cab driver takes us some where else then being our destination and since we dont know the rastaas we will b sitting thking he is going in a right way ....so wana travel with ppl...is every area has subway station.
in manhattan you can get around almost every corner using the subway. each subway station is within 7 blocks of another. when u go out into the boroughs u wont find the subway as much. just make sure u get a map of the subway, its pretty easy to understand.
