I saw a mosque with a blue dome in Brooklyn-and honestly that was the only muslim symbol i saw in a city infested with J*ws! To be honest with you, time was of the essence, and there was already too much to cram in into a 6day trip, as well as visiting all of the above!
Lexington Ave was at the backdoor of the hotel- so I saw that, but like i’ve said the few pakis there were competing with the hispanics, jamaicans, puerto ricans, greeks, turks etc. If you ever come to places like Manchester, Blackburn, Birmingham, Oldham etc. You’ll realise what the brit-paks r used to!
Shopping-wise it was good…heck i nearly spent 1000pounds…but for everything else-I wasn’t particularly impressed. And like Ive said before, hand on heart i’d rather have gone Lahore…just that my mates despite being pakis dont dig the motherland as much as i do!
Inshallah, I intend to come sometime in Winter of 2007-will try and take an unbiased view then, and i’d prefer the snow to the 40degrees heat! Zindagi rahi to, Inshallah, aap keh saath kuch chai-shai bi pee layn gai.
hey kazim! i noticed u were absent. :) man i went to nyc in october last year..it was SO much fun cuz my uncle's son drove around with us and showed us all the cool places to eat, and shop. i guess the weather was a bummer for ya. :(

LMAO…NAH It was weird, cos half the time I felt like Kevin McAllister-LOST IN NEW YORK!..would have been good to have been driven around and whatever, but still whats done is done…the weather was weird!-One minute i’m neary suffering from sunstroke, and the next i’m being soaked in rain. look at the difference in the size of UK and America…ours is a small cute sa pyara sa island…and urs is massive…hence in terms of ratios…theres more pakistanis here in UK…when I go out I usually see ALOT more pakistanis than any other ethnicity…even more than English people…especially here in Birmingham
