Wat are your New Year plans for the eve of 2006? Anyone already planned or booked to do sumthin exciting?

Also, do most ppl spend New Years eve with their family or friends?

Would be great to share sum ideas from all you guppies out there…

last year went to a really nice party but this year I prefer to spend it with a few close friends at a lounge or restaurant or something. I went to the ball drop in times square for like fifteen minutes once and then scooted from there because its mad cold, mad crowded and very hard to get a good view unless you're there very early.

going to Time Isquare to see the ball drop is like going to a cricket match to watch the game...

most likely go trekking in some jungle in southern india and ring in the new year with other adventurers at a campfire. exciting... but somehow i find myself wishing i could be back in NYC for new year's..

We normally take the opportunity to go for a meal as an extended family (around 20 of us)....then we go back to one of our houses and all just sit round and talk....watch the broadcasts from London and Edinburgh and count ourselves lucky that we are all wrapped up warm and cosy whilst those people are freezing!!!!!!
It's the only time of year where we can all get together and nobody has to work the next day!!!!!!!!!

Sounds lyk sumthing ill end up doing this year....but hey, it can be great fun to have these family get-togethers.

Start the day with a prayer that 2007 be just as joyous as 2006 was, then grab my passport and fly out a day or two before to somewhere warm...far away from this drab weather we've been having of late.

The year I partied on New Years eve (Tokyo) and came home at 7 am - **** year
I paid for that night as well, was dog sick for the next 2 weeks.
The year I stayed home with parents - Good year
The year I went out but was home by 1am - Good first half, ****ty last half.

This year Im staying put at home. Except I have a walima to go to on that day.
