New world found far beyond Pluto

**Astronomers have found a large world of ice and rock circling the Sun beyond the most distant planet, Pluto.

Preliminary observations suggest it may be up to 1,800 km across, making it the largest body other than a true planet to be discovered orbiting the Sun.**

Amazing isn’t it that we’re still discovering objects of such size in our own solar system.

So Junoon was right when they said...

sitaaron ke aagay jahaan aur bhee haen...

^it wasn't Junoon, if I'm not mistaken it's a poem by Allama Iqbal

but irrespective of whomever it belonged to....I don't see why that statement can be applied here. Because Pluto is a planet and not a star. so even if there is a planed found beyond Pluto, it doesn't prove the statement by junoon

Junoon uses lyrcis of sir Allama Iqbal :)

^^

and this is called *baal kee khaal nikaalna :smack: *

Astronomers used to propose that there should be a Planet X - another planet beyond Neptune and Pluto. Is this the mystery planet they used to look for?

Some argue that Pluto should not be classified as a planet any longer, but thats another debate.

Thats pretty neat. Thanks for sharing. smile

why not?
It s not a moon or an asteroide or anny other type of body.

wow interesting.
where universe ends/starts? :konfused:

at the moment it has no end nor a beginning
The Universe is expanding every hour every minute every second of the day

What a waste of time. So another name for the little kids to learn. I remeber when I had to rattafy the nine planets, and how heavently it was to lock myself in the bathroom. :)

Are you saying krypton isn’t a planet?

JK!

According to scientists, Pluto isn’t a planet so Sedna, as the new planet is named is our 9th planet. Therefore, we still have 9 planets!!
:smooth:

HMM interesting topic...In fact I was reading about this on NASA website just few days ago....it's not an asteroid or a planet...it's just a planet like body..and it is the second redest planet found in our solar system..IT IS SO COOL..!! I can post a picture...it's from NASA...by the way it's called Sedna
this is an artist's concept of the newly discovered planet...

...Awesome...isn't it????

Isn't it amazing...the more we learn, the less it seems to be...!! THERE IS SO MUCH TO LOOK AT AND TO LEARN...!! EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED TO ONE ANOTHER.......HOW MUCH CAN WE POSSIBILY LEARN?? it never seems too much....

There was this guy once who tried to fly to the sun. "But by the time i got there it was night time already!"
