I found GS after looking up something about Pakistani politics, and thought this forum looked interesting! I’m on summer break from studies and have too much time on my hands, so I wanted to spend some time on a Pakistani forum refinding myself as a desi : ) As for cookies, who in their sane mind doesn’t love em? I love cookies especially with chai. Chocolate chip is my favorite kind but not the extra soft and mushy kind. I despise those. >:I I also love sugar cookies and would probably snack on them every day if I wasn’t worried I would become obese and die poor and lonely. I probably shouldn’t be talking about cookies right now since I’m fasting.

Want to say welcome !!! You will fit in just fine. I am Indian female originally from Delhi and ive always wanted to have friend of Karachi background especially a Pathan type. I’ve heard Pathan people are friendliest and warmest type of people. Never had pleasure of meeting one in real life and ive not met that many Pakistanis in real life. Lagta aaj mera lucky day.So GS and online fills that void in my life.
Did you live much time in Karachi or have you lived in US all your life? Also do you watch Pakistani dramas and like Shan masala?

Nice to meet you! I lived in Karachi up to 3rd grade. Then I immigrated to the U.S. Unfortunately, I don’t watch Pakistani dramas, but maybe I will start later.

Same here. I live abroad also in Aus. I lived in India before. Do you remember much of karachi? what are some of the common misconceptions people have of Pathans in your experience? There are some good suggestions on showbiz if you want to check it out. My parents are hooked onto humtv dramas. Humsafar and Zindagi gulzar hai are good ones to start with. And short and sweet..good way to spend summer holidays
