New UN Secy Gen

After months of speculation and uncertainty about who’d take over next, the South Korean FM Ban KI Moon was declared the next UN Secretary General. He’d take over in Jan when Kofi Annan retires after 10 years and serving two terms. Butrous Butrous Ghaali before him had also served two terms. Let’s see how Ban Ki Moon plays around.

Nothing will be changed interms of world peace. These UN Sec Gens. are like puppets. Security Council will remain hopeless
Lets see what difference he makes in other depts. such as UNICEF, UNESCO etc.

I think they shud have made a person whose country is not involved in any current conflicts the new sec. gen.

I mean people from countries like US, Venezuala, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, North Korea, Israel, South Korea, England, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, you catch my drift? They shud have made a guy from a neutral country.

I think the Scandanavian countries like Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland could qualify or South American countries like Brazil and Argentina and Chile but other than that the rest of the world is involved or supporting some kind of war

Just saying the decisions won't be or even have a chance to being biased. O well, it's all said and done, nothing can be done now.
