Re: new trends for weddings
Great thread, the traditional colors for a mehndi are yellow and green but people are moving away from that and other colors like red, pink etc are accpetable as is light make up as before the trend was to hide the face and go make up free. Even if you opt not to go to a slaon for mehndi make up, its recommendaed that you do ypur own albiet a lighter touch. The trend is also for the groom to complment the brides' clothes. There is an exterme which isa matching red sherwani or moderate that is a matching tie or pagri/ headgear. Trend is to go for a more contemparary look over look for the bride especially on the valima, where pastels may rule. You can still wear red/ maroon etc at the wedding though. The eyes are emphasized with a lighter lip for both days, even smoky eyes though dark lips are also still in fashion if that's what you prefer. The pancake look (white foundation is out). For jewelry one large necklace (or even a lighter one) is usuallyworn instead of the multiple ones that used to be worn before. Tikka, jhoor , matha patti are all in. The nath is optional. French manicures are also in for the bride, although you can still do the darker nails.
For family members, they can wear anything, the trend nowadys is long kameezes with culotte pants (wide trousers). That's the latest. Though ghararas etc are also in. For teh brideherslef the lehnga still rules but a two legged gharara, farshi or not, or even a sari can be worn.
