My husband keeps telling me the taste in karachi is different to all the pictures I see online, they don;t wear such heavy formals etc etc Is it wrong to like the heavy long gowns :(?!!??
Please guys show me the latest trends and colours that would be most appropriate for a walima in karachi- bbcd —definitely confused!!

As a bride, you should wear what YOU like and feel beautiful in. If you want to wear a heavy, long gown then wear it. Don't worry so much about pleasing other people....especially when it comse to your bridal/walima outfit. Besides, you'll have plenty of opportunities to wear lighter outfits. :)

EXACTLY^ you can wear all the lighter outfits for davaat's etc but if you yourself want to wear a long gown GO FOR IT!

M myself going to wear heavy gown on my walima! Therez nothing wrong wearing a heavy dress on ur wedding, it’s going to be a one time event IA so wear whatever u like!

The thing is I would go for something I like, but my mother in law is the one who will be placing the order and making the dress! And she has a habit of putting her own adjustments like she did with my wedding dress!
So I thought if I had a heads up on what kinda stuff is in karachi now, I could incorporate that into my design. I showed a sana safinaz outfit to her for my bridal outfit and she sed the tailor said it was outdated and when with a different style.
So I was thinking maybe all the catwalk pics we actually look at are completely different to what's expected within the cities themselves?
Any body from karachi who can help at all as to what the recent bridal trends and norms are there?
