most of us who regularly watch dramas are getting sick of seeing the same old faces in every single dramas, 2 prime examples being faysal qureshi and amina sheikh, i guess kise had thak ham baber jawad ko blaim de sakhte hain, cause its usuauly his dramas in which both of these actors are in.
if we look at other directors, for the most part, they always go with a different cast.
not too long ago we used to see hamayun saeed in every other drama and even fahad mustafa and aisha khan were all over the tv screens.
there isnt much new talent coming into the showbiz but recently weve been seeing a lot of new faces, mostly females though.
some new faces on top of my head would be , naveen waqar, mahira khan, adeel hussain, sana askari, aiza khan, who have some sort of main role
ofcourse there are more who play side roles in those 70-80 eps soaps.
the guy in khusbhoo ka ghar, whose interested in marryin aimen, is also new, and seems to be a good actor.
for the most part most of the new comers seem to be promising at some point but there arent any male actors at all.
one of the new comers who i totally despise is Aiza khan. dont know how she became an actreess…she cannot act to save her life..
i don't think mahira is such a god actress.i like to see new faces too but most of them don't act well. fatima effendi is doing pretty well( kash main teri beti na hoti) i liked saba but i think she's overdoing it too.

ummm Syra & Alishba Yousuf…They can act but still have alot to learn..with good script & working team..Yes Absolutely they can be more good..
Fatima Effendi is good 2…but please drop the soap dramas with 100+ episodes..don,t waste ur talent in it…

As far as new directors are concerned, besides Sarmad Khoosat ( I'm fan of his work since he directed 'Piya Naam Ka Diya' and 'Kalmoohi'), I also like Asim Ali (Saiqa, Mere Qatil Mere Dildaar), Farooq Rind (Nao main darya and Sanjhaa). Adnan Ahmed (Mera Naseeb) is also promising. Mazhar Moin (who directed most of Faseeh Bari Khan's long plays) is a sensitive director.
Haissam Hussain did wonders with Daastan, but I don't like his Asghari Akbari, Noorpur ki Rani and recent Kuch Pyar ka Pagal Pan bhi tha. I think, he should chose scripts with utmost care because crappy scripts will stand him in line with directors like Atif Hussain. He should also avoid lobbying (casting same actors in all projects) because Babar Javed is enough torture for us in this regard.
Imran Aslam really stood out in his small role in Mera Naseeb.
Enjoyed Neelum Munir in Qaid-e-Tanhai. Looking forward to seeing her in a non-Baber Javed production, Jal Pari
Sanam Saeed really made us hate her to the core in Daam and then she did something completely different in Mera Naseeb - enjoyed the fact that she didn't just pick any random role. She needs to work on her accent but other than that she is good.
Both Amina Sheikh and Sanam Baloch were great in Daam but boy after Dastaan, Sanam made some bad choices in the form of Chemistry and AA. Amina went to Baber Javed camp with no signs of returning.
Not following Aiza Khan, Sana Askari etc.
Thought Danish Taimur was a good entry too but we lost him to mediocre-ness.
Still need to see Adeel Hussain in a main role to see what he's capable of.
I am not including Fawad Khan in this list because he has been around for about 5 years just has been selective about his work.
people need to come ot of the baber jaweds net and utiilze their talents elsewhere..he is brining everyone down hill and he really needs a wake up call!

and i dont know why people arent liking mahira khan...this is only her second role and that too a very challenging/demanding one...i hear the future just expects a lot more on the actign part, so lets see how she does on that..give her a chance people! =-)
Okay people. Looks like all of you have done your in-depth research really well on Pak dramas and actors. And that is a good thing. [And I thought I knew way too much myself.] But I am really getting confused with all the names flying around. I have some homework for you guys. Can some of you do a favor and post pictures with these names. Thanks.
I am sure I have seen all these faces, but there is no way in heck I could match names with faces. There are just so many.
