One new style that I have seen is the lengha shalwar type. Have any of you guys seen or have this new style (below)? I think it looks pretty and its very different.

Below is another type of shalwar…this fashion has been out for a while now. Has anyone gotten this type of shalwar made? I think it looks cute. But I heard the shalwar is heavy.

Post other pics that are different from the regular type of shalwar kameez we see all the time.
I think that style looks kinda ugly. But maybe it’s just when my cousin wore it and I thot it was kinda weird they called me weird and that I have no style… :halo: … Last year, I thot short kameezes w/ a salwar was really ugly, now I’m dyin for those, so who knows.
Sara: Well at first when I saw the girl wearing lengha-shalwar I thought it was kinda weird too....but then I kept looking at it and it looked cute after a while.
Below is another one (I don't like this as much as some of the other ones though). Its just an idea:

By the way what do you guys think of chunri? Below are a few styles.....my cousins in PK wouldn't let me buy it :( because they said it was out of fashion....but it seems to be the fashion these days:
Chorni: You have it? Post it if you have a webcam. I want to get one made. I think they look cute. Do they look cute on as they do on the models? Or is it more of a model type of clothing? I haven't seen many ppl wear it except for models.
eerkh... have a feeeling that first style will never take off... the patiala (very loose shalwar) didnt do so well either...
guess ppl arent ready to let go of their slim trouser styled shalwars
Yeah Pyari, those do look a lil out of style... I hate those type of duputtas... the're so thin adn they dont cover at all... if i have to wear a duputta, it better be able to cover me properly..
the first style with the lengha and shalwar looks odd. i've seens lots of pictures of it in magazines but i've never seen anyone actually wear something that looks that funky.
thats surprising, cuz i wore a patiala shalwar thingy this weekend and everyone was asking me where i got it from and how they want it..i think ppl r just slow
well if you have noticed that all the designers keep having their models wear trouser type shalwars so it is hard to bring a new fashion in when they don't let go of the old....recently I have noticed more of the patiala shalwars....so hopefully it will come in fashion soon. Like as in after summer.
I think the lehnga with a trouser, churridar or shalwar underneath is just too time stamped with 2003/04 written all over it and ive only seen it on very bridal outfits.
Patialas look nice but i like semi patialas better which are not are pleated and not as full. Just got a harem shalwar made its coming from Pakistan next week i think i will team it up with my khusaz :)
Tikhi: ppl say a lot of things... i went to pakistan singing "gonna get me a patiala shalwar.. gonna get me a patiala shalwar".. did i have it made .. NOPE.... what most ppl are doing is gettin one made for an event ... for normal day use.. they prefer the usual stuff.... lekin..... i think when it does come into full swing, it wont be the total patiala shalwar ppl will be wearing.. but a variation of it.. with less ghair... much more practical.
Patiala: (the design might be ugly but I wanted to show the shalwar...I still think the white one in the first post is better.)

Same here whenever a new fashion comes out I am like ugh, but then after awhile when everybody is wearing it, it starts to look appealing to me. When capris first came out I was like I would be so embarrased to wear those but now I actually think they’re really nice.
didnt find anything new abt these styles. i used to wear much more innovative, new designs. remember my dad asking, "where do you find these designs from". i used to like.... look at few different styles and mix them all in one dress of mine. it was fun to wear and people stopping to stare.
now i dont wear shalwar kameez. would like to if i could again get done some unique styles. i would try to post the picture of my best dress which i got done in 2000 but wore it only once at my cousin's wedding and after that it got burned from a very bad spot (front). i mean it cant be repaired or anything and it burns my heart too cz it was one of my rare dresses which i really really admired.
