Tell your husband to deposit the money into your account.

really?????
that's not a heck of a lot of money.......
weren't you previously employed in a bank or something?
won't that experience get you a decent job?
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
Considering the cost of living in the UK GBP 25k per annum is not an amount that would allow you to sustain a family there. At least not comfortably.
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
They have made this law recently. Too many people were coming here and relying on the benefits.
Nadz, where were you and your husband all these years? ![]()

Makes a lot of sense.
new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
I just checked the requirements you need to have 25k savings for 2kids and partner. If kids are British then Im not sure if the savings have to b that much. Minimum is 18k. Rules changed from July 2012. These apply if your husband is already here on a non-visit visa though. I can't find the requirements for spouse visa if husband is abroad :/

This. Even if it wasn't for the spouse visa requirements, how would a family of 3 or 4 even live on less that 25k?

Depends where you live. Me my husband and son live on 19k just fine. Of course there's no savings but its doable
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
UK Border Agency | Financial requirement
Do what queen_24 did. Your husband may apply in school and enter in UK on student visa.
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
so according to this, and since you don't have to sponsor your kids as they are British by birth, you only need to show an income of 18.6K, right?
what kinds of jobs offer that kind of income?

yup. this is my understanding too.
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
nadz, I gave you LOTS of info on this in one of your previous threads.
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
Nadz: You may want to re-read the thread I’m posting below. This is TONS of information regarding requirements for spousal visa.

As for whether or not you can meet the savings or income requirement…that’s completely upto you and your husband. Even if other couples managed to save that much or find a job with that income, that doesn’t help you at all b/c you need to focus on your specific situation.
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
stoppit- i know you helped, thanks i was asking if anyones applied SINCE july 2012, and whats happening with theirs.
and i know 25k is nothing in terms of todays living expenses, but i know many couples who live on alot less than that with 2 o3 kids. i would probably be with my parents initially, aleast for a year or so once hubbys in the uk, so maybe i could use their address etc, but am sure i need my own income.
anyway main point was to ask if anyones going through it now.
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
got me curious so I did a quick search on jobs in the UK:
Best paid jobs 2011: Tables of official figures for UK salaries
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
So is your husband still saying this?
stoopit- i did explain this to husband. he said kuch nahi hotaaaaaa bas. he does everything JAB TIME AYGA TO PIR DEKHEINGEY type of bloke. ...
Or is he working on a plan to join you after you leave?

I don't see how it makes a difference. All the rules and requirements are clear. There were never exceptions before and there won't be now.
yes, you will be the sponsor for a spouse visa, so you need the savings or income and be able to prove them. you will need at least 6 months of payslips showing you earn above the threshold, so after getting a job you will need to hold it down for longer than 6 months before you apply. i went through all this in the other thread.
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
U can also let HIM apply for a job in the uk
there r a lot of companies who r lookin for indian/pakistani ppl (for example in the field of chemical engeneering/IT etc)
The company will apply the visa for ur husband and will take care of the rest
(i know this out of personal experience...the company i work at has appointed 2 Indians and 1 pakistani ...our company made sure that the Visa application etc were done and within 30 days the employees joined :)...)
such companies even provide housing...schooling for the kids and more or less all the expenses of the first year
and otherwise a student visa/visiting visa are also possible
Re: new spouse visa -uk anyone applied?
You need to be earning 18,600 and 3200 for your first child and 2300 for secind child. If not u need to have 16k savings not 60k plus if your nt earning as much as the requirements then u gta add on whatever ur missing. I had training for this earlier this year.
Why on earth did you not sort your husbands visa when u got married and were living in the Uk. A student visa or visitor visa are not a good idea u will need to sponsor him one day and under the old rules you could have qualified easily. Plz dont take immigratoion matters lightly or in your own hands, you just made life more complicated!! Good luck
