Bueatiful Road for a bueatiful city...................

However Innocent_Smile Ji if you don't mind I would like to make a suggestion.......

the use of the word "Islo" seems derogatory............it is like making light of the name that is derived from Islam....which we all (most of us) believe in.

I have noticed this term being used for the Capital City of Pakistan by Pakistanis............in my opinion it is similar to us being called paki's ........I know most of us object to that as a derogatory term........

well the same goes for the word being used here.........do you agree?

Err who told you it was the previous govt? This wasnt even visible when I was in islamabad this March.

Oh bahi mere .. it was a proposed project of previous government + funding was also allocated in previous government. I was their in Pakistan too in march.

Any way.. they call it 7th avenue road or what ?

It was proposed back in 1997-98 by the CDA!!!! Proposals dena asaan hai, banana mushkil. Honestly, this road should not have been built because of how it just latches through the very few remaining green belts in the heart of Islamabad. There was a massive campaign by the residents to stop it. The only good thing about this project was how fast it was done after it was started earlier this year.

p.s. this isnt 7th avenue, thats one of the roads going across. This was more like a widening.

Propaganda. It was initiated by last government and the road work started while Musharaf was still in power. It was not proposed in 1997-98 (how nicely you are trying to attribute it to your favourite :slight_smile: ). This is all in the original plan on Islamabad.
