I know it is 29th Sha’aban on Friday over there…

Its already announced that the first day of Ramadan will be Saturday 23 of September 2006 in UAE.

u'd be better off following ur own government's announcement or the local community if u r in a non-muslim country....

Most of masajid that follow "global moon sighting" are fasting today in the US.

A few minuets ago I spoke to Dr. Saleh Al Saab, member
of the 6 Official Saudi Hilaal Sighting Committee. He
stated that NO HILAAL WAS SEEN by the 6 Committee in
Saudi Arabia on Friday, 22nd September, 2006. The 6
Official Hilaal Sighting Committee in 6 different
regions utilize government officials, Islamic
Scholars, volunteers, professionals and Astronomers.
They look for the Hilaal using naked eye, binoculars
and telescopes yet no Hilaal was seen.

Obviously, their opinion and sighting reports were
ignored by the Islamic Scholars of Majlis Al Qadah
Alala as has been the case for the past decade. Moon
set occured before sunset in the Kingdom on Friday.
How could anyone see the Hilaal when the moon setted
already?

Our Imams/leaders and Islamic Scholars preach about
unity year long, yet they are the ones who divide
Muslim Communities and the Ummah, and place an
enormous burden on them. If the object of the Shariah
is to divide the Muslim Communities and place a burden
on them….....then this is indeed a new Fiqh position.

On Friday, 22nd September, 2006 no Credible Hilaal was
seen by naked eyes, binoculars or telescope in 6
Continents and through out the word…....…this is some
knowledge of Hilaal visibility at the expense of the
Quran and Sunnah. What next......we will proceed to
use radio telescopes?

bahrain and qatar already announced the sighting of the moon and start of ramadan before saudi arabia did....
so most probably someone in saudi saw it too....

these emails r just another of those cheap moves to defame arabs....
these arab-haters will stop at nothing....
