It is insane that we have a 18th century style law-less area called FATA while the rest of the world surges ahead in 21st century. Federal government should quit managing this region.
Instead we should add DI Khan, Mianwali to FATA and call it Khattak province. This would allow local people to be MPAs and their own Chief minister and a Governor.
Another option is to have Peshawar take over FATA. That hasn’t been proposed and I doubt Frontier assembly can manage FATA the way tribals want.

Khattak is one fo the many tribes in Fata. There are Afridis, Niazais (in minawali). However Iam for the unification of these areas with NWFP into one province, AKA Afghania/Pashtukhwa. Fata Fcr law needs to be abolished.

Peshawar hasn't worked hard enough to bring FATA under provincial control. If they want, then put FATA under Peshawar. Otherwise let's demand a separate province named Khattak (After the great poet and philosopher Khushal Khan Marhoom) that covers FATA. We should also given few areas like DI Khan and Punjab city like Mianwali.
Who knows Imran Khan may get elected as the first Chief Minsiter of this new Province. Go Imran go.

I dunno about that. However the Fata needs to be incorporated wihtin NWFP, adn they should add Mianwali, adn northern Baluchistan to it as well. However I don't think people will look at Khattak as a name for that area, because there are more tribes than Khattak (as well as more afghan patriots other than the great Khushal Baba). However good suggestion nonetheless.

Influence not even, I still stand where I stand, nothign has changed,. However, antiobl raised a legitimate issue, and I agree with him on FCR. I am willing to call a spade a spade. There is already a khyber agency, adn dar-ekhyber, I believe has been honoured in the movie, and song (khyber zalmee). However, it is not the proper name. The proper names are the three that have always been suggested, but this si a completely different topic, I don't want to divert.

Khattak is not for one tribe, and Khushhal Khan has no match in the whole region. He was the best and brightest son of soil.
p.s. Let's leave Balochistan alone. They are already sensitive about their province. Any land taken from them will creat rift between Pushtoons and Balochis.

Yeah, if baluchis find out the people from NWFP want part of their pronvince, they will go bezerk, so lets not mess with them, they are entitled to their own province.
And I dont think its a good idea to name a province on a historial figure, no matter how inflential or great he is.

I don't want to take what is theirs, but the northern part is pashtun, and it was together a part of Qandahar. However, this can probably happen in the future, as I don't to cause any rifts between the two sdies as well. The land is not theirs, but violence is not the answer. I am understand your point of view on khattak thing Antiobl, but this will not be a favourable step trust me. Institutions should be named after him, but I dont see it happenning.

They love him, he is the national poet of Afghanistan, and is known as one of the greatest warrior poets. Thats beside the point, however namign it khattak, doesn't fit, in you know what I mean. That would be like namign Dir, or Jandool Umra Khan, after him (the great Afghan Napolean--Umra Khan). No one is discrediting him, but I believe the three suggested will work out perfectly. Anyways, mroe importantly the fcr has to end. The end of tribalism has to happen first, awareness, adn most importantly education.

No its not, to them its their province, and they will die before they let anyone else claim it. There is a reason why we have boundaries, respect them. We will be united under the flag of Pakistan, with the four amazing provinces. All we need is to incorporate FATA into NWFP, and we are all set. The only reason I am hesistant with the FATA idea is because our leader at that time had an agreement with those people that they would have thier own laws and all, and we should respect those agreements, since it was between Pakistan and the representatives of FATA, not centuries ago.

Look Pushtoons make a good part of Balochistan. However isn't it unfair to cut up Balochistan to satisfy their Pushtoon population. Who are those Baloch-Pushtoons leaders talking about division of Balochistan?
