how do you feel about the “first look” trend that’s popular with desi couples nowadays? I was really not into it because I always wanted my husband to see me when I walked in on stage with a veil but i’m growing fond of the idea of spending some time privately together when you first see each other dressed up.
How did you do it with nikkah/religious restrictions? Did you do the first look before the nikkah? I’m curious if it’s something that people are into.

I’ll try to find other pics/video but it’s basically like this:
the boy and girl get ready and then see each other before the ceremony starts. So the first time they see each other ISN’T on stage/when the bride is making an entrance

We had our nikkah (close family and friends only- about 70 people at the ceremony) before the wedding and hubby did not see me until the nikkah was done. However, I would never change how that went because the look on his face when I walked out was absolutely priceless- I will never forget it and I don't think that can be replaced in any other way.

would you have liked that better if it was private (well, "private" since the photographer will be there lol)?
