New PCB Chairman

Just heard on the ARY OneWorld that Ijaz Butt could be the new PCB Chairman. He is 70 years old babba, not sure if he have any admin experience. He played 8 tests for Pakistan between 1959-1962 with average of 19.92 with only one fifty…I wonder on what basis they thinking of him…its still not 100% confirm though.

Re: New PCB Chairman

Just heard that he is relative of someone in PPP, we always choose our own people rather then choosing people on merit...How on earth we can be successful......on positive note heard that that he is an honest person and very straight forward but at 70 years of age what he will be able to do. Just because he have relations in PPP.

Re: New PCB Chairman

I thought they may have learned their lesson with Nasim Ashraf, why do they always have to appoint someone who has had close ties with the ruling party? What possible benefits can the ruling party gain by appointing their own man. Does it have to be a former player, why not appoint someone who has had actual administration leadership experience?

I thought Nasim Ashraf was a decent guy, unfortunately, he was at the wrong place and at the wrong time in Pakistan cricket. Any chairman would have suffered the same fate if they were in his place.
