The only way for Pak cinema to go forward is to dismantle the structure in Lahore and make new films for international audiences using talent from the television or fashion industry. The pop industry is good enough for the music.
Films like "Ik Din Laut Ke Aoonga" just make me cringe as they blatantly rip the bollywood fsong-and-dance formula which we have never been good at. You don't have much dance within Pakistani civil society, you can't hence have it in the films. To force it in by getting "talent" from the red light area is just going to result in your films getting a bad rep, as they definitely have. Or the legit alternative is to hire Indian actresses, as they have done in this case.
Films like Mehreen Jabbar and Shoaib Mansoor's forthcoming productions, along with the horror film they've made in Islamabad are the way to go forward. But sadly, the kind of brainwashed-with-bollywood audience we have at home, these fillms will possibly never get a theatrical release.
^^ I agree. I don't think things can change much without a complete u-turn. Maybe Pakistani films should become television only, and rely on TV advertisements for revenue.
I find that the quality of pakistani films is ridiculous! they look like they've been filmed decades ago when in fact they've only been released in the last yr

Yes they are crap especially the Punjabi films.........
The really funny part which all punjabi films is the hero with blood streaming down his face screaming 'meh badla zaroor levanga' and then they break into a song and dance, lol
Anybody want to watch Pakistani classic and good films.i can tell you the best site which i found during search for pakistani films online....vidspk.com

These are not Pakistani movies at all. Before 'Bol' , a Pakistani movie 'Khamosh Raho' *ing: Juggan Kazim, was released. Any reviews about that. It seems that it failed at box office.
