Rani is wearing thiese little tailored colorful vests on top of her shalwar kameez.
Some look emboridered. Some look like a part of her outfit. there is one with a “cheesay ka kaam”
I like the look - minus the patilla shalwars. The black and teal combo caught my eye. It might look really pretty if done in a long shirt with the right colors.
So girls what are some ideas to make it wearable?

i agree a heavily worked small vest will look very glam on a plain, long shirt...

I dont like the vest thing so much but I'm with on the need something fresh to wear.
You know fashion has become so fast paced that everywhere you look we're like clones wearing the same thing. :(

seriously - I think it would look so cute on you.
I know Minuya - I see the same old things one everyone and after attending so many weddings this summer - I REFUSE to wear anything heavy or shiny.
I want thread work, karaii, sheesay ka kaam and I want some really colorful ensembles for EID.

my mom used to have this Black kameez with turquoise karhaai on it all the way to the daaman with sheesha’s. Looked totally cute and fab 
I saw something that i really liked and might get it made -ill post a pic for ya 
- but its definitely very semi-formal and not eid-wear. but maybe if you worked with black background and had work done on it in teal - maybe a little chan on the shirt with a mid-heavy gala - it would look really cute

Funny you say you want dhagai ka kaam -- I just got two outfits like that from Cyma here on GS - Inshahallah they'll come on Monday. I'll post them.
One is peach with cream kaam
and the other is teal with bronze kaam. :)

Last I heard from my sis in Karachi, threadwork is all the rage these days instead of the bhaari bharkam joray on weddings (that is amongst young girls).
