He alrady has exercised it. SInce he cannot debate anything... got the pm a while ago. :) GOD is not just a property of fundo sunni muslims. PERIOD!!! Call him by the name that makes it so, "allah" , no one equates the two other than muslims. that is the point. make it part of the bylaws or something, retrofit it into the charter of GS or create a new forum where religion can be discussed without the shackles of fundamentalist thought.

PD you have a knack of taking every topic off track dontchya! This started from ppl agreeing or disagreeing that the hurricane was punishment from Allah. Then comes a guy asking why God allows homosexuality and both you and I give an answer which is correct in our own opinions, I don;t try to reform you even though i disagree to what you say yet here you are gone off on a tangent trying to make me see the light!

theres one thing wrong with your argument. the fact that you assume that the context of God on these forums, and particularly this thread,where so far the discussion was Islam based, and the christian origin of the first post was regarded as a reason why it could be dismissed, doesnt assume an Islamic interpretation of God.
So that context already exists, and so does the fact that if you mock that concept you would be mocking the Islamic view of God and not Buddha for example.
Perhaps hereon you can assume we're talking about Allah and not God in the grander sense of the unifying force behind all religions etc etc, but the Muslim view of Him.

So what ravage. As a hindu I belive Jesus whas God. What now... Muslim view has nothing to do with what I or christians believe. So you guys should be more careful, under your logic, to pontificate on teh virtues of God. Unless you believe Jesus is god. then I apologize and am wrong.

PD when you choose to come to a board where majority of the participants are muslims, you should know that religious discussion will be based upon Islam. WHy the heck do you want them to cover every other faith and belief out there?
How many hindu BB’s have you visited where people would thinking about God or Allah while having a religious discussion?

and you would be able to enforce that belief if there were enough of you. If I went to a christian forum and said that God is infact a fat rolling buddha, then I would be looking for trouble. Supposing there were a people who did believe in fat rolling buddhas as gods, that bulletin board would condone this talk.
its you who need to append the context you’re speaking in, not us. Its you who needs to make it clear that you’re not talking about Allah, but the God that you believe in, not the other way round.

GOD doesn’t equal Allah. Unless you put it in the forum charter or GS charter to make the point known to members. Then you can run it like Pakistan. Where singular manly authority has divine knowledge above that of God’s and you can declare what God is and isn’t.

It is not invalid but when you are participating in a discussion primarly by muslims you should keep in mind that whatever they are saying is according to their faith and does not include every other version of God out there. you say god may be bisexual, thats an assumption you are makiing about YOUR god. If we say god is free from physical manifestation we are talking about our God.

nobody commented on the validity of beliefs pinstripe. perfectly valid beliefs may not receptive ears because they're too offensive.
in addition, most likely you're perfectly aware that the context of God on these forums and this thread is the Muslim view of God. You are not a kid. If you've been warned for saying something about God in that same context, then you shouldnt deal with it by demanding that everyone else attach the context of their God (ie say Allah instead of God), but attach the context to your own posts.

^ God might be bisexual and if she is so then she wouldn't care if she someone was gay or not. what the heck does that have to do with offending muslim sensibities. Muslims are smart enough to establish Allah=God but can't figure out that non-muslims think of God in other terms and might, just might not give a heck as to what muslims might infer due to their intolerance?
