ok well when i heard this…it was very uplifiting for me…
ok so a few days ago..this guy calls into our local musjid and tells us that he wants to convert to Islam…and we were like MashaAllah…and yea, we’ve had quite a few converts in the passed…so anyways, the guy comes in…his name was Bill…average dude, i guess…so my dad asked him how he learnd about islam…and when he told us, i was realli amazed…
he said he was formerly a DEACON for his CATHOLIC CHURCH!! …yea and he was speaking with the priest, and the priest of that church wanted him to go out and study about islam, to prove that it is a bad religion and inaccurate…so when he went out and started reading parts from the quran and about islam, he actually decided to convert to islam…haha…
yea so he said nobody knows yet…not even his family…and nobody from the church…i wonder what their reaction is gonna be …
anyways, so yea, mashaAllah i was really happy to see this dude convert, i mean, after having so much authority under another religion…
we also have had a few ppl convert to islam after coming out of jail, or while they were in jail…their stories are quite amazing as well…
so this one kalaa guy that just came out of jail, converted to islam…and he did azaan at the musjid few nites ago…i was so amazed…he had the pronunciation pretty down…
and this other convert…i asked him wat his family said about him converting..cuz he converted when he was like 15!!!..and he said his parents were really mad…but he said he still respected them…and he used to read namaaz at nite, wen his parents were asleep, cuz his father would beat him if he saw him doing namaz :(…
