so people wot do u think of the new look to ptv prime uk and its new programms. i thinks ptv prime tops the pakistani channels cos its 100% pure pakistani tv channel, not like geo or ary which promote indian music etc.
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
Well, I wouldn't say its a pure Pakistani channel, since it promotes pretty much only Punjabi entertainment. I'd rather watch a channel that at least shows a bit of everything, not being racist as to where the entertainment is made (but of course putting Pakistan as top priority), than watch a channel with bigots who think Punjab = Pakistan.
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
just like, PIA - Punjab International Airlines (trust me - i travel alot on pia for business, and i've come to a conclusion, from fleet crew, to pilots and ground crew, check in, everyone!), and all local north american organizations - for example PCA, Punjab Canada Association
u can def. add ptv prime to this list - Punjab Television
not racist, but thats what it is
Re: New Look PTV Prime
PTV Prime tops all Pakistani Channels? You on drugs ? ![]()
I live in small city in USA with a small Pakistani community. When we never had an option around 15 households i know had PTV Prime and now out of those 15, 13 have already SWITCHED to GEO/ARY. Writing on the wall?
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
geo and ary are urdu speaking channels. i.e karachi based. prime caters for all pakistanis
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
exactly what punjabi entertainment does it promote? i've only seen regular urdu speaking programs
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
PTV Prime is best, i have seen only one program in punjabi which is called MARI GAL and which represents the MIR PUR community abroad. All other programs lik light camera action regarding films, Drama serials are all in urdu, Jee Ayan Noo is punjabi live show, Quid show is urdu quiz program, so after all this i would say PTV Prime representing all Pakistani comunities living abroad…I am happy and with me millions of other families are satisfied with PTV Prime. keep it up well done
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
Pakistan’s popular entertainment channel PTV Prime is all set for a radical makeover this weekend.
Coming onto the scene almost a decade ago, setting unprecedented standards in the ethnic media market, PTV Prime is once again on the verge of repeating history.
As the years have gone by the channel has witnessed the surfacing of numerous Asian channels, almost to the point of market saturation; unfortunately not offering anything of new substance to its viewers. PTV Prime has felt the same dissatisfaction as the viewers of Asian media have and has taken the responsibility upon themselves to address the situation.
Keeping a close eye on the industry as whole, looking at both the viewers and the channel providers, PTV Prime has identified both the problems and the respective solutions for the stagnated Asian market. PTV Prime is stepping up its game by re-emerging its self with a “new attitude”.
When a channel is prepared to offer its viewers a staggering twenty two brand new drama serials, you know they mean business. With its new attitude, PTV Prime is truly going all out with this new offing of brand new shows to lure back viewers. Over three hours of daily live and interactive shows; seven invigorating sitcoms; weekly award winning feature films in Urdu and Punjabi, with super star casts; Extensive coverage of community events through out the UK and Europe.

Re: New Look Ptv Prime
Um last time I checked - Urdu is the national language which is spoken in all 4 provinces.
Punjabi is spoken by like the one provice that has been thinking its borders define Pakistan and that everything outside of it is some abandoned desert. Its a delusional group of people, hence a very delusional channel.
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
And No, i'm not even Urdu speaking - I'm flat out Memon as Memon comes - but you don't see us memons tossing memoni-based shows at the whole of Pakistan delusionally thinking that everyone is able to understand Memoni or identify with the memoni culture.
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
The other channels such as GEO or ARY promote Hindustani-style entertainment. That in no way reflects Pakistan, either. Its weird, I mean you guys don't even spare these showbiz threads of whining.
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
it is doing great, the new look, new programmes, i quite like it now!
pcg, come on yaar, punjabis are not that bad afterall, the few ppl u know who represent the description ur giving do not represent punjab as a whole… Pakistan is Pakistan:jhanda:
Re: New Look Ptv Prime
I think PCG doesn't like anything to do with Punjabis, I bet she wouldn't even admit she is a Pakistani if Musharraf or Shaukat Aziz were Punjabis :). That's a LOSER mentality i would say.
