Yes, there are plenty. It is close to Iselin, which also has a stretch of many Indo-Pak grocery stores, restaurants, halal meat shops etc.

It is in almost in the mid of NJ, so you are equidistant from just about anywhere in NJ, and NY city. Atlantic City is just over an hour away.

About 20 min by train. 35-40 min by car, if u dont hit too much traffic at the tunnels/bridges.

Overall, Edison seems to be an equal mix of desi and gora population, and the majority of the population consists of well educated, well placed professionals.

Re: New Jersey- Edison

one last question

which are good colleges in Edison.

thanks again

Re: New Jersey- Edison

ITS FULL OF DESINESS

there are colleges nearby. not exactly in edison

Re: New Jersey- Edison

Edison/Iselin is the curry town of northeast! tons of desi places.

oak tree is the main road where everything desi is located. check out "sabzi mandi" cash and carry store. they've got stuff you can't even friggni' find back home.

Re: New Jersey- Edison

colleges?

rutgers is pretty close

anybody heard of middlesex college in Edison..

Re: New Jersey- Edison

Middlesex county college is a community college. It is ok.

Most people from there do a two year associates from Middlesex and then transfer to Rutgers.

If you have money and are smart, Princeton University is about 20 miles from Edison.

Also, NJIT is close by in Newark. (30 minutes by train from Edison).

Seton Hall, Drew University, Farliegh Dickison, Montclair are all drivable distances from NJ.

Re: New Jersey- Edison

Lots of desis..nice restaurants to eat and desi shops to buy anything you can imagine.
Rutgers is good college
