we just moved to Islamabad and found a new home. I’m european and it’s my first time in Pakistan, so I’m a bit lost in where to find the things I’m looking for. I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me out a bit. I’m planning on shopping in Islamabad and Rawalpindi (since I heard its much cheaper over there :p).
So first of all, the furniture. I’m mostly looking for really simple but nice designed furniture in a modern look, preferable in white (or black) but not wood since I’d like to color it myself. I found a few places but noticed that this kind of furniture is way more expensive, so I was wondering if there were any places anyone would recommend with “down-to-earth” prices?
What I’m mostly concerned about is actually the beds though. lol. Since I saw that Pakistanis use tiny fleece blankets and lose bed sheets, I will probably have a hard time to find the kind of bedding sets I love so much I can’t live without my duvet-blankets with nice bed sheets/covers and fittet sheets for the mattress. I saw that they have duvet blankets in ChenOne and some bed sheets as well, but not fitted sheets. I couldn’t check the quality of the duvets but I’m a bit concerned since the quality of the duvets in Dubai was rather bad as well. So I’d highly appreciate if somebody could help me out here and give me some tips where to find these kind of things.
Also, I was wondering if there are any special places you would recommend for buying decoration items. I’m looking for all kinds of things, from nice wall paintings to carpets, curtains, small statues and different textiles. And Crockery, even though that’s not really decoration
And last bot not least, I’m looking for a pet store to find things for my cat who will arrive with the rest of the family once we’re all set up. I’m looking for a bed for her, a litter box, a cat tree, food bowls and of course the food and cat litter itself, plus a cat door so she can enjoy the garden

There's this huge bed and bath store on Muree road.. I've forgotten it's name. Will try to find out for you. You can also visit the Friends Home Store and Bareeze in f-7 Markaz for bedsheets.
For furniture, go to Blue Area or if you want cheaper then Murree road Pindi!

the fitted sheets you might not find ready made .. but you can buy fabric and give to any tailor, show him a pic, it isnt hard for them to put rubber thread at the edges and make them as you need.

Try China Market in Rawalpindi for decoration and fabric.
Nishat Linen for bed stuff.
Saddar in Rawalpindi for varity of things.
some things you will have to import as pakistan might not have them as you want.

Also, I have another important question... my cute little cat will come here too with the rest of the family. can you tell me a pet shop where i can find a cat tree, a bed and stuff like this for her? Since that poor thing has to fly with cargo, I would like to set up everything nice for her, so she can just relax as soon as she arrives. :) I couldn't find any pet shop at all so far... :(
