Eating scene is out of control in Pakistan. Thoroughly professional stuff even the local stuff.
My FAAAAV was Espresso. It’s a coffee bar, sit-in mostly. The one at Dollman on Clifton Beach is a-m-a-z-i-n-g-l-y done. I thought this was a company from abroad but it is completely local.
Another place I wish I could eat but didn’t go, but looked so cute was Okra in Karachi. One of the most x-pensive places around, but beautiful decor and heard the food is awesome.
Cafe Koyal, by Noor Jehan Bilgrami. Really chillax place, great decor and super good food. I mean, the cook is amazing. A bunch of neo-Pakistani recipes or international recipes with a Pakistani twist. Their mozarella cheese is fresh, dunno from where, and it will not make you sick. She also has a museum of art and a cloth boutique attached to the property, that you can peruse after eating.
Went to Noodle House on Clifton, really amazing chinese food.
Roosters - really good food for lunch.
Went to Cafe Zouk - o m g, such good food. Really fancy decor inside, felt like I was her highness. Love their capuccino.
BBQ tonight’s Brunch - o m g. I couldn’t get over that even a green pagri wala showed up with his family. Bet he’s not hatin’ on the Western Civilization for making pancakes and hash browns. Was he drinking chai? No, he was an espresso man. They also have the hottest Pathan waiters.
Cafe Alanto - also like Cafe Koyal, nested away in the neighborhood of defense, but super nice from the inside. Food was reasonable, the decor and atmosphere is the reason people go I think.
