looking at the film site, strongly beleive this will be a new start in Pakistan film industry.
will be waiting for its release. have a look you will be amazed. a film by shuaib mansoor, casting, Iman Ali, Shan, and Naseer ud deen Shah and a hollywood face too.
Hopefully it's decent but you can't expect much from our imcompetent film industry/artists.
Just one thing, I read the synopsis on the website and the guy seems to be implying that there are only two types of Muslims:
1) Mod-Muslims (Miraasis/Baygherats like himself) who are only Muslim by name and they're the 'goodies'.
2) Fundamentalist-Muslims who wear beards or veils and they're the terrorist baddies.
It seems that in an effort to get sympathy for his Miraasi kind he is painting all Orthodox Muslims with the terrorists. His criticism of Junaid Jamshed was absoloutley unjustified and uncalled for, it was unprofessional of him to condemn JJ for the way he chooses to live his life.
I'm quite Orthodox and believe in the Fundamentals of Islam (regardless of whether I'm able to practice them all or not), I’ve no time for disco/pseudo-Islam so I'm a Fundamentalist Muslim but I'm certainly not a Terrorist or Terrorist-sympathiser and I think most mainstream Muslims go in my category, we believe in Islam completely (unlike the pick and choose mod-'Muslims') and we consider those who commit terrorism in the name of Islam to be misguided deviants. Being peaceful and orthodox/fundamentalist-Muslim is not an oxymoron.
I fear the movie will paint all Orthodox/Serious Muslims as backward terrorists (which they are not) and only the Mod (Miraasi/Baygherat/Nangey) 'Muslims' as the goodies.
PS. Sorry for the harsh words but people like the director of that movie only understand their own language.
It looks like a good concept to me. Especially when there isnt much out there in desi cinema that reflects what is currently going on.
However, as well put the website is, it is disappointing to see that the website developer forgot to run a spell check. Naseer-ud-din Shah's profile has a spelling error as well as a couple of other places.
So sad, armughal. That's the best piece of Islamic work that has come out of the film industry ever. Its sad that people like you who live to please Saudi can't see that. :)
I heard a lot about it. I am lookin' fwd to watch it!
I have a strong desire of watchin' Lollywood films, to acquire a better understandin' of the fraternity. However, I have tried hard to buy Lollywood Films from England and Norway but always failed to find the required films.
I also tried to import them thru a local retailer from Copenhagen, but failed again.
In addition, I fail to find any online portal to watch Lollywood films.
now the question arise, is there anyone who knows where to watch Lollywood films online?
lol...u think I haven't tried that? . . . actually I have no access to desi media (any sort of channels , news and stuff) here in DK. I don't have desi channels and we don't have desi newspapers here.....and I check desi news online v rarely...and then I tried youtube and what I wanted never appeared but instead i came across shockin' desi stuff :D so "ankh ka parda" rakhte huie i didn't bother to search for pak films again...
I will appreciate torrents or ne other links, u know...:=)
I’ve posted up some film preview videos up in Shor Sharaba forum. In the Khuda Ke Liye thread, Kala Pul, and Itefaq threads. www.mehreenjabbar.com has some images of her new movie Ramchaand Pakistani.
Additionally, if you youtube Salakhein or Nikkah or Yeh Dil Aap Ka Hua, or Tere Pyar Mein directly, you’ll pull up more specific videos. I know you can pull up a significant chunk of the movie Salakhein. I don’t know about the others. You can pull up Reema’s movie also.
