CoolBreeze, I went in late August and the weather was perfect. Very warm during the day and a little nippy in the evening. We were able to hit the beach and also do water activities like Kayaking and just taking random taxi’s to nearby islands and wandering around. Block Island requires a day in itself, that also has beaches etc. I would definitely recommend renting either bikes to manually ride or better yet scooters to get around town. At night they had several restaurants/venues with concerts/live music etc. was a lot of fun. Plus me and my friend are seafood junkies so we loved trying food at different places till we couldnt breathe no more
