New Employee Suggestion

Is it alright for a new employee to make a suggestion?

I just started working last Monday for this company. I was surprised because at the end of the day, I was asked to bring home with me loads of company procedure guides and manuals. I think it’s very old-fashioned since most offices nowadays go paperless. I’d like to make a suggestion to my boss but I’m afraid he might be offended or think I’m too opinionated. What do you think?

Re: New Employee Suggestion

Its too early for you to start giving suggestion. Just settle down and once you have build a good relationship with you boss. You can suggest as many ideas.

Re: New Employee Suggestion

It was a success. We have this very friendly senior officer. I had him tell our boss that there was an anonymous suggestion that we go paperless. Surprisingly, our boss agreed and said that he kept forgetting to do upgrades. He contacted this company right away and the upgrades ongoing now. Anyway, my senior officer told our boss that it was me who made the suggestion. Big boss congratulated me and told me that he liked me already. He said I was already thinking about how the company could improve even if I had just started and he said he like that kind of attitude.
