Marijuana is used commonly now-a-days especially by teenagers. Usually the use of a blunt or two for experimentation does not cause any problems. However, recently it appears that marijuana is coming in the market laced with some other drug. This is causing emergence of full-blown psychotic symptoms. Teenagers are presenting with picture very similar to schizophrenia, with no apparent family history of psychosis. The friends and family report only use of marijuana, also confirmed by urine drug screens. The psychotic symptoms appear to be long-lasting. This is of concern because most youngsters now use marijuana thinking it to be a rather harmless drug, but are ending up with psychotic symptoms due to the other substance being laced in marijuana.
