just wanted to ask that are girls in Pakistan still wearing patiala salwar or short shirts....? i personally dun like long shirts and i think trousers also dun suit everyone, i just love short shirts with trousers ..so please tell are short shirts still in fashion or are girls still wearing short shirts, patialas etc around u?
I live in the US and they're not in fashion anymore at least from what I've seen, but I agree.. you should definitely wear it if it makes you happy regardless of what's in and what's not.
But I do want to ask the girls living in Pakistan about what the current style is over there. I'm thinking about what to wear on Eid (I know it's a little early hehe) and I want to get some new ideas. Seems silly to start a new thread since it's a related question.
me in Karachi, n no more Patiyalas are in these days, though me too dont like long shirts, i just wear what i feel gud, i like short shirts (till knees) and normal shalwar, u can wear what u like :)
styles that are in here in karachi are long shirts and trousers, but recently i asked my lahore based designer abt the latest trend as for the same eid purpose, he said that now medium length shirts along wth shalwar or trouser are really in
Short shirts are not in. Its A line shirts, and those frint open shirts with trousers. U need not to make ur shirt too long. Just long enough to not look short.
I dont like long shirts but not too short too where shalwar pleats are showing. Mine are moderate in lenght, they are just about right. As for patiala shalwars, I never liked them. They are too indian looking and huge and baggy.
yaar Islamabad main to tulip trouser or long frock style panel shirt chal rahi hain aur bauhat achi lagti hain with broad ribbons on border of dupatta and kameez
hi
i live in lahore
these days long shirts and straight pant trousers are infashion, bcz fashions originate from young girlz specially in colleges and universites....
fashion repeat the history after every 20 years
short shirts will b in but after 20 years!!!!!
theres diff trends. the shirts are much more longer in karachi than in lahore and islamabad, but they are definitely long everywhere with all kinds of styles for the trousers. no patialas thats for sure.
tulip pants are just trousers with a pinched pleat near the waist (the silhouette is like that of an upside down tulip at the hip, so it kinda has a puffy look at the hip). the paincha is usually cuffed.
you have to be careful and not have them looking like harem pants, which are too filmi for my liking.
the properly tarilored version would look nice with a dheeli kamiz.
